Client Story:

(names have been altered to preserve privacy)

Miss Renee was suffering from depression after being forced into early retirement and although she was taking antidepressants, she still felt lonely and isolated. She stopped going out for walks and volunteering for her church. Miss Renee’s family who lived an hour away, were very concerned about her and called Wendy’s Team. Although the initial reason for the visits was cited as light housekeeping, the value in these visits were the friendly faces that could be counted on to raise Miss Renee’s spirits three times a week. We feel the time our Team Members spent with Miss Renee playing cards, listening to gospel music, knitting and in conversation were far more precious than the time we spent cleaning and doing laundry.
